Team Sundays

The senior competition plays its matches on Sunday, including all Don Quishoot teams! Every Sunday a team organizes the team Sunday. This means coming up with a fun theme and then arranging food, DJs and decorations. After your match you can enjoy a nice drink while watching the other matches at the club or playing a nice game in the Pavilion. So you can always eat with us after your match. This way we ensure that you not only know your own team well, but can also chat with other members of the association. Twice a year, teams organize an extra-large version of such a team Sunday. At the end of the first half of the season, the Kanniballen organize the famous Après-Ski Sunday to prepare us for the winter break. This is a huge party and often attracts large groups of external parties. On the last Sunday of the second half of the season we will start the year with a bang with 'Der Letzte Sonntag' by De Joepies. The beer flows here just like they used to in Germany. And we celebrate the end of the year with a delicious summer barbecue.

La Mancha Festival

Don Quishoot has 18 committees and 17 teams, each with its own captains and trainers and more than 10 Club referees . Without these members we could not be the association we are today and to thank them for everything they do in a year, we celebrate Fiesta la Mancha. In one of the last weeks of the year we will have a barbecue to end the year and to thank all these active members. In addition, we appoint a woman and a man as member of the year at Fiesta la Mancha. This member has gone the extra mile for the association in the past year.



Don Quiski

Every year we travel with a large group of members to a ski area in Europe to make the slopes less safe for nine days. Whether you are a pro on skis or have never been on skis in your life, it is all possible.

Family tournament

Every year, friends and family are welcome at the association during the Family Tournament. This is a fun day full of hockey and other activities and the perfect opportunity to show them what it's like at Don Quishoot. At the end of the evening you can also enjoy a nice meal.



Clinics

A hockey clinic is organized a few times a year. Often one technique is treated per clinic. Think of the drag push, scooping or the backhand stroke. Last year, a clinic was even organized in the hall for the first time.



Winter preparation day

After field hockey has been on hold for a number of months during the winter break, it is of course important to get everyone ready for the spring season. We do this through the Winter Preparation Day. This takes place a week before the first matches are played again. Each team plays a practice match at its own level and afterwards food and a party are arranged.



Freshmen's Eve

On the first-year evening, all new members of Don Quishoot are invited to the Pavilion. It is a very informative evening, during which we explain a lot about the association. But there are also plenty of games and we conclude in La Route. It is a fun way to get the first-years more involved in the association and allow them to get to know the other first-years.

Don Quisail

At the end of the year, a number of members leave for beautiful Friesland for a weekend of sailing. It is a weekend full of sun, wind, little sleep and a lot of fun.

Thoot

Once a year we celebrate our good relationship with the student rowing club of Eindhoven: Thêta. We do this by organizing the Thoot cantus. Both members of Don Quishoot and Thêta are welcome and it is a wonderful sight to see the different cultures coming together.



Friends of Don Quishoot barbecue

If you want to contribute extra to the association, you can become a Friend of Don Quishoot. By making a small contribution, you contribute to a very nice initiative. The Friends of Don Quishoot barbecue is also organized every year as a thank you to all Friends of.



Rules Café

To explain the rules of the game to new referees, or to simply refresh them, we organize the rules café every year. While enjoying a drink, the most important rules of the game are discussed in a fun and interactive way. We have recently also organized a rules café for the rules of indoor hockey.



Committee day

Don Quishoot has no fewer than 18 committees, each with its own members. All committees are invited to committee day and the aim is to get to know each other better and promote cooperation. This is done through a fun day with a lot of games.



Former board day

Once a year we invite all former board members for a drink and a barbecue. It is extremely interesting to hear the different stories from other directors and to see how Don Quishoot has grown over the years.



Board day

The Netherlands has many more student hockey associations. As sister associations we are very good friends and have good contact. This way we can help each other and learn from each other. Once a year, Don Quishoot invites the boards of these sister associations to travel to Eindhoven. The day often starts informatively. There will be a talk from a guest speaker and we will have conversations about how things are going at the other associations. After this we show them what the evenings at Don Quishoot usually look like. A visit to Stratumseind will certainly not be forgotten.
