Referees are important to Don Quishoot. Every match that is played should be refereed by two referees who can act independently and have knowledge of the rules of the game. And everyone, from player to audience, greatly appreciates when a match is refereed well. All agreements regarding arbitration at the association can be found in the Association Arbitration Plan at file.donquishoot.nl. The current playing rules can be found at: https://www.knhb.nl/kenniscentrum/competitions/alles-over-de-spelspelen.
All playing members aged 16 and over must be in possession of a valid CS card in accordance with the KNHB Arbitration Master Plan. Don Quishoot requires competition members to take the CS exam in the 1st year of their membership, if they do not yet have a CS card. The aim of this is to increase knowledge of the rules of the game. If you have to participate in the CS exam, you can contact the competition secretary (schrijvensecret@donquishoot.nl).
There is a referee WhatsApp group for everyone who has obtained their CS card and enjoys whistling. Here you can easily indicate that you would like to referee additional matches or request additional guidance. If you are interested, you can contact someone on the board.
For a referee, appreciation is, in addition to fun, a major motivating factor. To guide novice referees in this, they can request guidance via the arbitration committee (arbitrage@donquishoot.nl). Guidance is also available for referees who want to develop further after their first matches.
The supervisor does the preparation, gives tips and evaluates with the referee during half time and after the match.
All fanatical referees can indicate their interest in the CS training to the competition secretary (schrijvensecret@donquishoot.nl). Registration for the course will then be considered together with the arbitration committee.
For all members who are registered for the training, the training consists of two parts. The theory part is a test from the KNHB. This test consists of 20 questions and takes 40 minutes. It is administered at a central time with all other CS students in training. The second part is practice. You will work on your skills in the field under the guidance of an experienced CS . The practical part ends with blowing the whistle under supervision.
For all CS students in training, additional information can be found on the KNHB site: https://www.knhb.nl/kenniscentrum/opleiding/cs-clubscheidsrechter-plus
