Committees

Committees 2023-2024

ESHV Don Quishoot is an association that exists for and by members. We have a large number of committees that help keep Don Quishoot running. The committees are not only important for the association, but also for the development of the members themselves. In a committee you learn to take responsibility, plan and you get the opportunity to develop yourself in skills that you may have never tried before. We will introduce all committees here!

Arbitration committee

The Arbitration Committee ensures that the level of Don Quishoot referees is guaranteed. For example, the committee trains members to become CS'ers and CS 'ers. The association arbitration plan is adhered to.

Barcommissie

As a member of the Bar Committee, you spend an hour or two on a Sunday delighting hockey players with beer and other things to keep the bar running. You are here together with another Don Quishooter, there will be no shortage of fun behind the bar!

Batavierenrace committee

Every year Don Quishoot participates in the Batavierenrace. This is a student relay over more than 175 km in 25 stages from Nijmegen via Germany and the Achterhoek to the campus of the University of Twente. The Batavierenrace committee ensures the registration of the Don Quishoot team, the smooth running of the preparation and the weekend itself.

Committee on External Relations

This committee is responsible for Don Quishoot's sponsorship income, such as the water tap and the score board. Under the leadership of Jelle as Commissioner of External Relations, the committee contacts various companies, after which Bregje binds potential sponsors to the association.

CommunicaCie

The CommunicaCie is responsible for Don Quishoot's social media. They ensure the association's online communication with its members and a good online appearance. On social media they promote events, teams, or, as is now the case, committees. They also provide workshops on various Adobe programs to interested members, so that teams can also improve their skills.

Don Quisail committee

The Don Quisail committee is a somewhat newer committee that organizes a sailing weekend for the Don Quishooters. They promote the sailing weekend, the accommodation, boats, etc.

Don Quiski committee

The Don Quiski committee organizes a fun and affordable ski trip for interested members during the winter period. They promote the ski trip, design sweaters and supervise the holiday. Of course, they also do plenty of skiing and especially après skiing on this trip!

Donations

At DonaCie we support various charities throughout the year. In this way we raise money, organize training for refugees and come up with other fun activities. A great way to contribute on behalf of Don Quishoot. We can often use enthusiastic volunteers for our various actions. This is all made possible by lovely volunteers within Don Quishoot.

Don Quitech

Don Quitech takes care of all technical/media related matters within DonQuishoot. They ensure that the TV in the Pavilion works and link the ICT work with all hockey-related matters.

First Year Committee

The EJC consists of new members of Don Quishoot with the support of two board members. This committee organizes three events. They can complete the first activity themselves. In addition, the EJC organizes the first hockey Sunday of the second half of the season and, together with the Eindhoven Student Corps (ESC), arranges the annual third After-Exam Party (NTF III).

Family Tournament Committee

This committee organizes a one-day family tournament. During this tournament, members bring their family or friends to play a game of ball against other teams, on and off the field. Every year this is a big party and a unique opportunity to give your parents a taste of your student days.

Photo committee

Do you enjoy photography? Then the Photo Committee is for you! This committee creates and provides the visual material when they receive a request from a team or committee. They also edit the photos and upload them to the Don Quishoot photo page. The ComminicaCie then shares your beautiful pictures on social media.

Introcommissie

The Intro Committee ensures that the intro week for Don Quishoot runs smoothly, so that the association profiles itself well and can attract new members. Every year the Intro Committee provides gadgets, promotion and a fun week for the intro kiddos and the lubbers.

Goalkeeper and materials committee

The KMC is responsible for providing hockey materials for the entire association. This committee allows us to play hockey with the right materials and they are replaced when they are broken.

Mediacommissie

The Media Committee publishes a newsletter about Don Quishoot three times a year. This will contain articles such as sections, quizzes, an introduction round of the new board or a new team and of course the last pages will be about the juicy gossip within DonQuishoot.

Technical commission

The TC is responsible for maintaining, keeping up to date and implementing the technical policy that they have written. This includes bringing and maintaining trainers, the selection teams, ensuring the quality of the fields, providing clinics and much more!

Thootcommissie

The Thoot committee organizes the Thoot cantus every year in collaboration with Theta. A cantus where both Don Quishooters and Thetans can enjoy liters of beer.

Winter Preparation Tournament Committee

The WVBT committee organizes a practice tournament for recreational teams. This tournament takes place just before the start of the second half of the season and is open to both internal and external teams.
